My sore throat has progressed from the following order:
a slight fever -> cough -> running nose -> full blown fluI'm not sure if i'll be going to suwei's place tomorrow as I don't infect everyone especially her new-born.. i'm gonna miss all the food ! *sobs*
Meanwhile I got a reply (finally) from
Zimerick for a meeting/interview @ Wheelock Place on 5th May. But the office is so damn far at Pasir Ris.. *moans*

My 100 pushups program is officially on. It will be on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. The goal it to do 4 sets of pushups and then your maxiumum for the 5th set, increasing the intensity as time goes by in a progressing manner to build your upper body strength.
i'm recording my push ups logging here, so I don't lose it. =)

I'm also contemplating to start on a 200 situps routine on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays, and not sure if it will kill me or not.
we shall see.

I watched ManUtd - Tottenham match the night before, and the reds were 0-2 down by the half break. I wanted to turn off the pc and head to sleep when Junxiong came online and MSNed me. It turned out to be an breath-taking match when Carlos Tevez came on for Nani, and the Red Devils came back to win 5-2 eventually... =)
It was a really long day at church.. business meeting that started at 1:30pm and ended around 3:30pm, and we all were staving.. i hate such long meetings, and will definitely leave if it starts to get draggy.. i'm straight-to-the-point person and a little of the perfectionist, and i hate wishy-washy stuff..
the rain ended to allow us to play soccer in the evening, and it was a bad game for me. i didn't managed to get a shot at goal at all, and was the receiving end of bad passes. maybe it was to make up for the fantastic game that i had last week (life is fair perhaps).
i didn't felt tired at all. tomorrow will be the commencement of my 100 pushups regeime, and at the 5th/6th week i can't imaging the kind of pain that is coming...

i started my interval training this evening. it turned out to be darn tiring, and had the temptation to stop the whole thing and spare myself the torture.. the whole of woodlands circle is 1.2km, and prefect for training for your 2.4km run (i used google earth to measure, so it should be fairly correct... satelite image leh)...
here's how i faired !
600m - 2:22
600m - 2:30
600m - 2:45
600m - 2:25
i used to be able to run at 1:30/400m, which adds up to 2:15/600m (i know i got to lose weight in order to get back that speed)... my resolution is to get back to my tip-top fitness and hopefully get a wash-board tummy first (training abs is gonna be damn painful, i'll take my time)...
when i ran my fastest during army, i slimmed down from 62kg to 57kg, and my waistline shrinked from 34" to a 29"... now it's 64kg and back to a 34" around the waist.. looks like i need a lot of determination and self-control to make this work... =/
went back home and made a shocking discover - my running excel file in which i record all my runs during 2008 is GONE !!! that hurts a lot seriously, and i decided to find a permanent solution to this potential problem by recording my run mileage online so i don't ever lose it again...
that led me to
runninglog.com and it enabled you to record the type of run, terrain, distance, weather condition, time of run and even notes ! how sweet it that ? =)
my second resolution is to finish this program...

to be able to do a hundred pushups in 7 weeks (i was able to do 200 during poly, and definitely not now)... wish me luck !

i went for my pfizer screen at 8am today, and was supposed to fast for 2 hours before-hand. But i set the alarm wrongly at 6:30am, and it was too late to eat anything. The next time that I can probably eat something would be after 11am or so.
Well, one thing for sure is that the pretty nurses are still there (Rachel) and one new addition (i need to find out her name). Saw a familar face there, and some of the "regulars".. haha~

Well, Pfizer is a clinical research company that pays volunteers to take part in their clinical trials. It's located at Bugis, Raffles Hospital. You get to stay there with meal provided. There's a pool table, XBOX/PS3 consoles, Cable TV, Internet Access and B-Class rooms (3 beds each with an LCD tv).
If you are not afraid of giving blood and time on your hand, then this is just right for you. More importantly, it pays well for you inconveniences (and blood). If i get selected for this study, I'll be getting close to $5XXX. =)
But that also means giving up exercise & soccer for the entire duration of the study. *sniff*
Those who are interested can let me know in the shoutbox, ya ?
