first overnight stay at office

ok, i just woke up at close 3pm today... worked overnight yesterday in office with Wee Siong and 2 other designers to finish up a flash for starbucks... i was already set on going back early on Friday, when Fred called Wee Siong and me inside to discuss about a project for Starbucks that's due to be launched NEXT WEEK

i was thrown a task of scripting a flash with Dickson (designer) and told me that if i had any plans tonight to be prepared to cancel them... i hate it when he assumes that if i did some actionscripting for the past project, i'm the ONLY one to look for to do flash projects... when the first time i actually looked at actionscript code was during my last project for a shop in ViviCity about a month ago...

Franklin, our company Marketing Director, stayed over with us and ordered KFC and Pizza Hut for us all while we rushed our work... but sadly, it's the first time in which i had food all around me but no appetite to eat anything...

managed to get it up finally around 4am, and get it finalized in 6:30am in the morning... but i'm impressed that Franklin stayed with us all the way through the night, and with a positive attitude and cracking jokes with us even... good boss who shows concern for his employees... he also gave us cab fare money to go home the next morning... and that explains how to woke us this afternoon... lolz~

i think i'm gonna take a short nap later soon.... but worst thing ? no overtime pay ! worked from 9am to 7am the next day, and that's 22 continuous hours of work ! should ask for a day off or something... =/

Christmas Day - MBC vs Shalom

it's a combined games day with Shalom Baptist, and we had a great game of soccer with the youth from Shalom... split up into 3 teams at first and played at the field before our big match - MBC vs Shalom....



all getting ready to get physical ! we wore our yellow youth camp tee as our "team jersey"...


i played on the wings with Junxiong while Bro Bernard played long striker up front waiting for us to bring the ball us... hahaz~ managed to get one on the score sheet, and assisted one for Junxiong... JX had 2 goals to his tally, and Bro Bernard had one past the goal too... final score ? MBC 4 - 0 Shalom !!!

i really played my heart out that day... it's been a while since i dribbled with the ball so much up the flanks, as all these while i'm trying to be kind of like a playmaker in the central midfield to dictate the tempo of games, and i guess i'm not as effective... looks like i'm better off as a wingers/forward (as far away from my own goal as possible)... hahaz~

Church Camp Update

i'm back from Kota Tinggi finally... we faced massive floods on our way there (i'll post more pictures of that soon)... here's what the resort look like, all taken by my N73 phone ! =)

my internet connection's finally up ! i thought initially there was some problem with the modem cause the power led kept flashing... until it finally appeared to me that i haven't paid my bills for 3 months... =/

finally paid up on Sunday which amounted to close to $180 !!! and plus the Malaysia trip i'm supposed to pay, i really don't know how i'm gonna survive after that... i've got roughly $60 to survive for 1.5 weeks after christmas (meals & transport)... looks like i'm not gonna be spending in Malaysia... T_T

well, something cropped up at work today... and i'm expected to get it solved by hook or crook by Tuesday cause the store's opening on Friday... i'm sick of Macromedia's Flash of 1001 bugs that causes the program to go crazy even when my codes working fine...

might miss the church camp because of this, and so i might be paying for a trip that i can't go ?

and i've still got the Christmas play to worry about... some crappy way to spend a week before Christmas...

it was my first day at VivoCity in the morning... because of work ! met Neil, our senior developer at Harbourfront MRT first before heading our way to the shop in which we were supposed to deploy our application...



that's the escalator to the 2nd level of the shop, and it's called Red White & Pure... it's 9am in the morning, and thus it's like a ghost town in the mall... the ah-lians haven't woke up yet...



it looks great, but it's actually raining outside... i figured out that by playing with the N73 setting, it affect your image a lot... that was what i actually looks like...



i have a total of 11 lilypads to configure, and setting them up wasn't easy... each of them has a mac-mini installed, and a dumb screen that looks like this...



look here ? i can only see a small portion of the LCD screen through the tiny hole... which means that i had to lug an LCD screen, keyboard and mouse to EVERY station ! you can actually navigate through the menu by using the silver knob in the right... and dock your iPod or USB drive on the top right-hand corner of the picture to download stuff....

we did until about 7pm, until my boss decided that i was take a cab back to office to debug the flash before I leave for my trip... i almost thought that i would be asked to cancel my leave and stay back, but thankfully i managed to find out why the flash was acting so crazy... given the GO for the trip finally at 11pm ! T_T



goodbye company ! see ya after christmas ! and i haven't packed my stuff, and changed any ringgit yet... bummer~

Christmas Play Preparation #1

it's exactly 2 weeks to christmas, and that's how long we have to prepare for the christmas play ! organizing the whole thing is no joke... wenjie took the main cast aside while Grace & I settled the props... she managed to get the scroll done up, and i managed to draw out the wings for the angel while i assigned Serene to cut & paste double-sided tape all over as we're gonna stick cotton wool for a fluffy wing... our manger's halfway up though, need to wrap the cardboard box and stick our 'hay' from the inside out (made from strips of brown paper)....

Grace's gonna make an overall for the angel to wear, and i've go do up a night sky scene where the host of angels appeared to the sherpards in the fields in flash (hopefully)...

also played soccer in the evening... we wanted to try out a new futsal court near my place, but the people over there were practically hogging the whole court and playing a fool, not wanting to score anything into the goals.... really pissed me off !!!

so in the end we jio-ed some other guys waiting to play nearby on the basketball court....

went to peminpin in the morning for our first practice for a short play on Christmas to be performed by the senior primary kids... met up with Wenjie & Grace at the mrt b4 Bro Darren picked us up...

all was going fine at first, when Esther started crying because she didn't want to play the role of Mary and Grace had to take her aside... meanwhile, i was practicing with Reynold and he was doing a good job with the role of Joseph .... when he started crying too... -_-'

i guess nobody want to be either Mary or Joseph because they were supposed to be married, and that they were afraid of being made fun at next time... i then tried to convince Joshua to take up the role, but he didn't want it too... his reason ?

Tim: why u dun wanna play Joseph ? because in the bible he's married to Mary issit ?
Joshua: (nods head) then next time we really must marry then how ?
Tim: *tried to hide his grin*

so we dismissed them for lunch first, and asked them to think and decide who to play the 2 main characters... we had pizza not from Pizza Hut... it's called PIZZA4U, and it's so00oo much better then pizza hut and canadian pizza ! i *two thumbs up*

well, so in the end Samatha kindly played the role of Mary, and we arrowed Lucas who wasn't here today... lolz~ Reynold took the role of being the narrator in the end... we practiced for a while, then the children back home...

took a short nap in the afternoon, and went to Junxiong's place in the late evening to catch EPL... met up with Agnes to get my 2 beanies back which i lent to the her and her brother on their trip to Beijing to keep their heads warm... she bought gum for us, and asked me to help give to the respective ppl in MBC the next day...

it's pretty strange... cause when i was around 18 years, many people said i look mature around 20 plus.... and now when i'm 22, they say i look younger ???

well, at least that's something to rejoice about....
