visit to cemetery X new adidas shoe X saturday night run

0 comments   Saturday, October 29, 2005

went to the cemetery in the late afternoon to visit my Dad's lot, and also Baby Jedidah's and John Issacs' lots (we couldn't find Mdm Lee's lot) ... it's pretty darn hot, and some people were doing a shoot during that time (not from TCS though) ...

went to the mall @ Boon Lay, and got myself a pair of Adidas shoes (the whole store's at 50% off) ! i wanted another blue pair, but i was thinking too long and someone got the last pair ... =( so had to settle for another one ... it has good support for my long distance running, and i wore it immediately at the food court ...

just nice, Junxiong asked me whether i wanted to run with Yunli, and stay over at his place to watch soccer ... it's time to test out my new shoe ! did interval training with it, and it's pretty good ... summed up the day at the beach with the 3 of us chit-chatting away ...

Man-Utd got outclassed practically in the match later on at midnight, and i actually fell asleep halfway ... JX & I were speechless ! 4 goals down ??? switched off the TV and went to sleep ... BAH~

kena tua again X frisbee X combined SG

got fooled in the morning again, no SOC never even tell us and made us wake up so early, change up and wait for them ... grr~ this is the umpteenth time, they're gonna get it ...

we practically waited till it was time to go to AMK camp, with an eager Timall ready for yet another frisbee session ... it was getting dark, and threatening to rain ... but somehow the clouds did not get to the campsite ... =) we had a great game (not reallie the REAL ultimate), and we managed to get 2nd in the mini-competition ... after that was a REAL BORING AGM on the mess-sub thingy, and i wasn't even listening as i dunch even know who the members in the committe were (how to vote like that) ...

rushed off for the combined SG @ Peminpin, and didn't knew that it was Pastor Mak's birthday as well ... saw Junxiong in his blue Civil Defence uniform, and yes ... the food was good ... *yummie*

horrific nightmare !

i had the most terrifying dream in the wee morning ... i was walking in the kitchen to the living room, when i notice something dark on the silver pot on the stove to my left ... COCKROACH ! i could see it's feelers seaching in the air to sense my presence ... it suddenly got bigger and bigger and BIGGER AND BIGGER ... and just then, it turn towards me ! (sees a giant cockroach head with it's mouth)

giant cockroach head with mouth-piece flies straight to me ...

that was it ...

ARGH !!!!!!!

and it literally shot up in bed as thought i had been hit by a jolt of electricity ...

real freaky creatures, stay away ! shoo~

2.4km X cross country X ultimate pickup

today, instead of the normal live-run, we made the men to run 2.4km ... suprisingly, all of them had a HUGE improvement ! their sgt-major was rather amazed that most of them actually passed, and disbelief was written all over his face ... hahaz~

the fastest guy clocked 9:10min (ok, that's fast) ... meanwhile, i got my chance to play with the printer stop-watch (i just lurve hanging the thing around my neck and taking the various timings ... makes me look so professional ... hahaz)

later in the afternoon, HAN & I left the camp for MacRitchie Reservoir, as we were supposed to conduct warmup for the 3DIV Annual Cross Country ... but we went to AMK to makan first before heading there ...

guesss what ? it's my first time conducting warmup infront of SOOoo MANY PEOPLE ! HAN & I stood on a table each and performed the warmup sequence, and it's pretty scary to do so ... especially when doing the high-jumper (had to make sure that i jump on the same spot), and jumping jacks (table shake shake, wooble wooble) ...

21SA did pretty well in the veterans event (our RSM cum ex-PTI and the duracell-lady), and the running team got 2nd place ... *thumbs up*

rushed for ultimate pickup after that with instruction from HAN on a bus that goes straight to clarke quay from where we were ... pretty awesome day for me, and i practially could handle, cut, score, everything ! the form will prove useful for tomorrow's 3DIV ultimate gamne ... *grinz*

gundam model X bought a book X we had pickup afterall

0 comments   Tuesday, October 25, 2005

okday, HANs got BOS Duty @ Amoy Camp today, and everyone's at Khatib Camp for some briefing ... "no government" today ! woo hoo~ i spent the day painting and fixing up my Gundam Model in my bunk ... it looks real good, kinda like a brushed-metal effect ...

left for pickup with Fishball, who was getting the same model for his friend at Dhoby Ghoud ... was there way too early, so I headed to Liang Court to waste some time ... I somehow ended up at Kinokunya, and bought a book on "Flash For PHP5" for $74.63 ... a worthwhile investment IMO, cause i was looking for such a book for a while ... Flash gonna's be a power-tool in the next lap, giving data-driven content to your browsers in a very presentable & animated manner ! gotta keep up and learn something new while inside NS man ...

happily stepped out of Liang Court, and realised something ...

it had started raining !!!

i couldn't believe it ! it's this a joke or something ? argh~ i came here to play ultimate, and i'm gonna get ultimate ... i wandered off to Brewerks to wait for the rain to stop (ok, i bought myself a strawberry cheesecake to coax myself down) ... sat down at the table, and the waitress promptly brought the menu over with a glass of water ...

Waitress: Sir, what beer would your like ?
Tim: dot dot dot ...
Tim: Actually i'm just waiting for the rain to stop to play frisbee ...
Waitress: Oh, at the field there ...

A few moments later, guess what ? She bought some bread with spread over ! talk about some service dude ! thumbs up Brewerks (even though i dun drink) ... =)

as the rain got lesser, people started to turn up ... so we managed to have a game after all, and a rather muddy one too ... one crazy ang-mo guy was diving all over the place despite the mud, but we still had our sanity not to do so ... nope, not a chance in me doing that ... =P

Bought a new gundam !

i went out with HAN and Fishball in the night in search of Gundam Models. We went over to Sunshine Plaza first, but to our disappointment ... the shop's closed ! So we went across the road to Parklane to the Japanese Shop ...

I had originally planned to just "see-see" only, until Fishball showed me a particular Gundam model ... i somehow sub-consciously placed the box under my armpits and walked to the counter ! lolz~

after 20% discount, it's #33 ! Yuyuan got tempted when he found out that there were only 5 boxes left, and he soon gave in to it ... =P

after our bargain buy, I went over to the guitar show to ask for a quote on my "Indian Guitar" ... the guy still remembered me, and the discount that he promised me ... it's $380 (originally $450), and i asked how much to install a pickup to the guitar ... and it's like $120, and I have to go buy the pickup for another whooping "close to $100" ! maybe i'll just get the lovely baby first, and install the pickup another time ... played it for a while, and the sounds damn solid to match it's looks ! oh my, i'm drooling already ... *slurp*

took a bus to Suntec City to look at another model-shop, and I bought a steel-paint at $2.40 this time instead of the can-spray that costs $8.90 ... *ouch*

oh man, gotta do that paint job tomorrow and upload a picture of that awesome model ...

Dogs Used As Shark Bait

Look at the hook on the poor dog's nose ! You can see the fear in it's eyes !

By IAN HEPBURN
STRAY dogs are being skewered on hooks and dragged behind boats as live shark bait, The Sun can shockingly reveal.

The cruel practice takes place on French-controlled Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean, where Prince William spent two holidays.

A six-month-old labrador pup was recently found ALIVE with a huge double hook through its snout - like the dog above - and another through a leg.

The pup was found in a coastal creek and is thought to have somehow freed itself from a fishing line.

But other dogs and kittens have been chomped up and swallowed by sharks.

The RSPCA plans to petition the French government, demanding an end to the hideous torture.

As if a bad day is not enough, this is making me furious !!!

What Can You Do ? Sign This Petition !
Stop this cruelty and tell everyone about this please ! DAMN THIS FRENCH PEOPLE ! Some people just deserve to be killed a million times over ...

argh~ feeling rock-bottom low ... i'm amazed at the number of times that i take the effort and shoot myself in the foot in the end ... it seems that i'm just wasting my time, will someone shoot me please, thank you ...

today, i led the live run in the morning to set the pace decided by HAN at 6:30mins every 1.2km, for a total of 4.8km ... it was a good run, and i was in tip-top form ! didn't feel tired ...

later at night, i went for pickup while Yuyuan & Han went to IKEA to shop for Yuyuan's (aka Fishball) computer table ... not much people at first, just nice for a 7-on-7 game ... so we just played on without any substitutes !

later on, went over to Sunshine Plaza and "one other place that i forgot the name" to look at Gundam Models ... i went to check out a guitar priced at $450, and it sounds great as it looks (will post a picture of it soon) ... the salesguy said it's hand-made from India, and will give me a discount to $380 !!! very tempting indeed !!! what a baby !!!

after both of them arrived, we went over to Suntec City, Carrefore to get Fishball's computer table ... he almost wanted to lug the thing back to camp, but we fortunately managed to talk some sanity into him to bring it home instead ... crazy guy !

oh my white acoustic guitar, wait for me ...

GOAL !!!

0 comments   Monday, October 10, 2005

went out with Junxiong & Winnie to catch a movie, GOAL ... i'll be good this time and pay for what i see instead of pirating it ... =)

met up at Causeway Point, and I went to get my sim-card first at the Singtel HELLO shop at the basement ... met my poly course-mate, Bernie, who had been working there for some time now ... after that, i got an ice-cream from Gelate (that's my lunch) before heading for the show ...

(click on poster to visit the official website)

the show's great, and if you dun want a spoiler here, dun highlight the text below ya ?

------------------
The show is about a lad named Santiago Munez who crosses the Mexican border into La, America at young age. He's been playing soccer all his life, and that's the thing he's good at.

Santiago get's scouted by Brit Glen Foy, a former football player turned scout, and gets him into Newcastle United for a trial. But there's a problem - his father doesn't approve of it. He finally get's to England after much difficulty, and meets with more hardships and obstacles along the way in St James Park.

He finally works his way up to the first team staring long-side with big names like Alan Shearer, etc ... and also influences a certain football star from his partying ways and to set a good example for the rest of the younger players at the club.

------------------

and what's my verdict for the show ? Total of 8.2/10 points ... I almost stood up from my seat during the "match" in the cinema when a goal was scored, which is rather wierd in a way considering that it's a movie i'm watching ...

after the show, played an hour of pool with Junxiong and Winnie before parting ways, only to have poor Junxiong counting down to his enlistment tomorrow ...

SOMEONE'S GONNA GET BOTAK !!!

my phone stolen

0 comments   Sunday, October 09, 2005

ok, my Sony Ericsson T610 phone's stolen while I was playing soccer ... played in right inside my bag, hidden amongst my jeans and shirt together with my wallet with $60 inside (how on earth did he know) ... got home, and realised that my phone's missing ! called only to hear "The Singtel customer you've called is not in use" ...

damn pissed off, and someone convince me to get the Sony Ericsson W800i now ...

dunch let me catch you theif ...

yes, it's gonna be much worse than this ...

maybe someone should invent a phone bomb ...

Me: "Hello, i'd like to suspend my line please ...
SINGTEL: "Ok Mister, it's done ...
Me: *activates the bomb" ...

(KABOOM goes the other end)

Me: Thank you Singtel ... =)

did someone say KABOOM ?

so sorry Mr Thief ... can't call the ambulance ? oh no~ the phone that you've stolen's exploded ! what a shame ... and oh, before I forget ...

Carl's JR @ Marina Square

0 comments   Saturday, October 01, 2005

after WTC, a couple of us went over to Carl's JR for dinner as planned last week by John ... the makan-team comprised of John + Clara, Junxiong, Zhiyang, Agnus Lee + Tim Lee, and of course myself ...

i love you, Carl's JR !

i got the biggest burger of them all (forgot the name, but it's a double-patty with bacon strips) ... and here's the catch of the drink (dun upsize it) ... why ?

because it's free-flow, stupid ! dun waste your money ... =P

but i drank up one cup of iced-tea before we left before filling it up with coke again ... cause it's free-flow mah ... *burp*

after that, we "ta-pau" our meals and went to eat outside on a large-square-thingy in which we all sat facing inwards with our dinner right in the centre ... the burget tasted so good that i don't even feel full !

yes, you're pretty impressive ...

what can be better to sum up with day with a Gelate Ice-cream ? got rum-&-rasin, but i gotta admit that the rum's a little too much in there ... the rasins were nice ... =)

ok, i'm broke ...

but it's worth it ...
