2nd Interview @ Phillip Tang & Sons

i went down for the 2nd interview dressed in my pink-striped shirt this time... went there, and Neal showed me to the conference room to wait for his boss Ferdinand (sound like he's an england fan)... waited in the cold room to what it seems like eternity, when a guy popped inside...

Ferdinand went to get Neal and both of them sat down inside the conference room again... he asked ths standard questions, and also looked at my poly transcript... he then asked me why he should hire me, and warned that he's heard the standard answers from all the previous interviewees before...

i told him that i wanted the opportunity to get into the industry whereby it's a golden chance not only for my to gain valuable experience, but to learn as well cause what the polytechnics taught us was only the surface... i wanted to go deeper and learn more, and working here was my chance of doing so...

then he asked on how would I benefit the company... that got my stumped a little, and of course my sell myself a bit lah... told him that programming & projects were my strong points in poly, and because of my interest I have a drive to do well in this area, etc...

after much consideration, he said that he would only pay XXXX if he would hire me, and it's not a bad amount for me if I were to accept it... he went outside with Neal to discuss further, and came back moments later...

Ferdinald: well, i'll get Neal to prepare the contract for you to sign later....
Tim: (suprised) *i actually made it ???*

he also told me that I'll be on a 3-month probation period, in which after that I'll be confirmed of the position... honestly told me that my pay will stay or rise, or even drop if the candidate proves to be unsuitable, in which he/she will eventually leave if that happens...

after signing on the dotted line, i met everyone in the office... basically 3 engineers other than myself, 2 technical support, 1 accountant (female) and 1 designer (female).... *yes, the females are important... hahaz*

also met the director Mr Phillip Tang who was an old man, and got to know that Ferdinand and one other guy were his 2 sons ! i was also invited to their company lunch tomorrow afternoon somewhere in West Coast...

can't wait for my business card ! (it's just my impression of what it'll look like)...
