lesson from a movie

okay, Man-Utd lose 3-0 to CHELSEA the night before, and i had such a "great" day today ...

church was usual, with 2 visitors (they were from the US Navy on a stopover) named Tim & Dave ... Mrs Mak whipped up a fabulous meal today for lunch - beef stew + long beans ! pretty normal day until i sat the bus home, and only realised that i don't have my wallet after dropping off at Admiralty !!!

thinking that i must have dropeed in the bus when i dozed off, i quickly called the bus uncle and told him about it ... he made a u-turn back, and i quickly searched the bus, but no wallet ??? i thanked him for the trouble and he went ...

Uncle: (In chinese) wah lau aye, made me turn all the way back then no wallet ... waste my time ! (and on and on how much time he wasted and how troublesome it was) ... -_-"

okay, i had left my keys and hp charger in camp ... phone flat, and now no wallet ??? just great ! how can it get any better than this ?

got back home feeling all sucky, and the first thing i saw was my fat black wallet sitting on the piano top ! hahaz~ guess i didn't even bring it in the first place ... my bad my bad !

spent the afternoon watching Bruce Almighty, and the storyline goes ...





Bruce Nolan (Jim Carrey) works as a news reporter, and in his life, everything does against his way ... nothing turns out good for him ...


and finally he blaims GOD for messing up his life ...


the GOD decided that he's had enough, and let's Bruce take over his job ! and of course, being Jim Carrey does a lot of crazy stuffs ... like ???


parting the red sea (i mean tomato soup) ???


just unbelievable !!!

but in due time, things goes out of control ... his wife leaves him, he can't answer all the prayers he had to listen to, and realises that he's just not cut for the job ... and GOD tells him that what he's in charge was only just Buffalo Town ...

then he goes back to "read" his wife's prayers, only to find out that she's been praying for him all this while !

"God, please help Bruce ! He's in a mess right now !"
"God, please help Bruce in his work as everything's not going well for him right now"

and so on ! so he kneels down and surrenders to the will of GOD to let HIM take control of his life ... but the problem is that he's doing it the middle of the road and gets knocked down by a trailer ! (typical Jim Carrey) and when he wakes up in the hospital, he realises that hes' getting a blood transfusion of AB+, a rare blood type that only he and his wife has ...


Lessons Learnt: Things may turn out in ways which we least expected, but do we blame GOD for it ? Or should we surrender to his will ?
